We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Natural Gas Utility Laborer to join our team. As a Natural Gas Utility Laborer, you will be responsible for the construction, maintenance, and repair of underground utility systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Possess knowledge of underground utilities and pipeline systems

- Operate and maintain various equipment and tools required for excavation, installation, and repair work

  • Perform manual labor such as digging with a shovel, loading material, carrying material
  • Ability to drive trucks and trailers to transport materials, equipment, and machinery to and from job sites. CDL license is a plus
  • Be familiar with or driven to learn how to conduct pressure and leak tests, as well as repairs to maintain system integrity
  • Be familiar with or driven to perform fusion of plastic pipes, ensuring secure and reliable connections
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth workflow and project completion
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment by wearing personal protective equipment (PPE)

-Be a team player and understand the job has to get done, so you will do more than your job title, when needed

  • Be a problem solver and follow instructions from your supervisor

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments
  • Relevant certifications and licenses are a plus

REQUIREMENTS (NON-NEGOTIABLE):

  • live in the area and/or be able to get yourself to and from work daily

  • be willing to train in our online, Operator Qualification (OQ) Program, , to meet federal regulations to provide underground utilities

  • have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record

  • pass a drug test and a background check

  • make a commitment to be at work every day, be dependable, and reliable

  • be willing to work some Saturdays and overtime

  • be able to do heavy lifting
