P&C IT Services provides professional services to help our business units and corporate functions use technology to create, manage, and optimize information and business processes.  IT Services can include a wide range of activities such as: software development, data management, Cloud services, IT security, network security, technical support, establishing and overseeing access rights, procuring and maintaining equipment or software, managing the infrastructure, and defining security procedures,  The overall goal of IT Services is to provide technology solutions that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and give our company a competitive advantage over our competitors.

Our Emerging Technology team is looking for an intern to work a hybrid schedule (3 days a week in the office, 2 days remote) out of the Cincinnati office for the summer.

Responsibilities:

• Research and Analysis Investigate cutting-edge technologies such as AI, blockchain, or quantum computing, and summarize findings to support product strategy or innovation initiatives.  

• Prototype Development Assist in building proof-of-concept prototypes using tools like Python, JavaScript, or low-code platforms to explore new tech applications.  

• Data Collection and Cleaning Support data-driven projects by gathering, organizing, and preprocessing datasets for use in machine learning models or analytics dashboards.  

• Documentation and Reporting Create clear documentation for experiments, prototypes, and research findings to ensure knowledge transfer and team alignment.  

• Cross-functional Collaboration Work with product managers, engineers, and designers to contribute to brainstorming sessions, sprint planning, and team reviews.

Requirements:

Technical Skills: 

• Programming (Python, Java, C++)

• Data analysis & visualization (SQL, Tableau)

• Cloud & API development Agile methodology

Education:

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or Business Management
