What We Do

Presales is responsible for supporting the Sales organization selling our analytical solutions to both new and existing customers. Presales qualifies prospective customers, establishes new relationships, and expands opportunities with existing customers and builds opportunity pipeline. Presales assesses customer needs, suggests products and services, and recommends solutions. Presales also develops and delivers solution recommendations to prospects and customers.

What you will do​

Customer Facing Activities:

  • Coordinate sales activities in collaboration with Sales teams.
  • Work closely with SAP and other partners to qualify and develop business opportunities and build customer relationships.
  • Engage with targeted prospective customers to identify inefficiencies in current business processes as well as entirely new opportunities and position SAP financial and customer experience solutions and msg global solutions to unlock identified value. 
  • Deliver highly effective presentations to VP through C-level executives and key C-suite level decision makers including CFOs, CROs, and senior leaders in finance, FP&A, tax, operations, supply chain, sales, and other business functions.
  • Lead solution discovery sessions, system demo's, business and architectural design workshops, custom POC's.
    • Demo's: Define demo requirements, lead solution designs, oversee demo build activities and deliver system demos to prospective customers. Strongly prefer SAP Analytics Cloud planning demo experience.
  • Lead RFI/RFP responses, services estimates and proposals.
  • Lead or support new opportunity internal approval processes.
  • Support contract negotiations with the customer (direct or subbing) – MSA, Teaming Agreement, SOW, change requests & extensions and other related tasks
  • Support SAP with SaaS license sizing and pricing estimates.
  • Work with implementation project teams to identify new opportunities on existing accounts.

Customer and Partner Enablement/Relationship Activities:

  • Maintain ongoing relationships with strategic partners (including SAP) and support solution enablement and opportunity identification.
  • Contribute to SAP PaPM, SAC Planning, BTP/BDC solution enablement and adoption, solution overviews, customer webinars and other sales related events.
  • Represent msg as subject matter expert and lead presentations at software Industry conferences and trade shows.

Msg internal enablement:

  • Develop new solution content, support sales training, contribute content to internal knowledge repository, collaborate with sales to build and expand pipeline.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and market developments to stay competitive in the market.

What we are looking for​

​Minimum Requirements​

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science or related field or equivalent years of experience.
  • A minimum of fifteen years consultative experience into Fortune 2000 companies, ideally in selling SaaS solutions and services.
  • Success selling into the highest levels of accounts with a focus on the C-Suite.
  • Working knowledge of the SAP Solution suite including SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning.
  • Understanding of SAP's Analytics offerings, including Datasphere Business Technology Platform (BTP) and Business Data Cloud (BDC) and capability to acquire working knowledge as needed.
  • Prior financial software Presales experience including performance analytics, profitability analysis, allocations, FP&A, cost to serve, transfer pricing, tax, etc.
  • Positive attitude, high motivation, innovative thinking, and passion for creating value for customers.
  • Willingness to roll up your shirt sleeves and get your hands dirty in the details.
  • Proven communication and presentation skills in English language and ability to maintain solid network and relationships.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%.

Nice to Have

  • Business acumen and knowledge of multiple industries such as insurance, banking, consumer goods, energy, retail, transportation, life sciences and other verticals.
  • Knowledge of SAP Profitability and Performance Management.
  • Prior experience working in the office of the CFO, Accounting or FP&A is preferred but not required.

Individual salaries within this range are determined by multiple factors including but not limited to skill set, experience, education, and knowledge. The salary range is not inclusive of the generous discretionary bonus that is also part of the full package.
