Facilities Field Specialist

Job Requirements

Starting Pay Range: $35, $42,725.50 yearly

The Facilities Field Specialist is responsible for handling a file of floor plans, establishing a schedule for the maintenance of Nation buildings, and ensuring monthly inspections and annual inspections are coordinated and scheduled.

Your day-to-day as a Field Specialist will entail:

• Performing monthly inspections and coordinates annual inspections with fire extinguisher vendor.
• Maintaining a file of floor plans for all Nation buildings within MicroStation CAD to facilitate the development of databases linked to drawings.
• Coordinating inspection of sprinkler systems and canopy suppression systems.

Work Experience

To be successful as a Facilities Safety Technician, you'll need:

• Two years full-time experience using Computer Aided Drafting as primary drafting tool is preferred but not required.
• Excellent graphic communication skills, particularly effective at gathering information from Department and Program personnel, reporting data and presenting space allocation alternatives.
• A valid NYS Driver's License
• Prior experience with inspecting buildings, adhering to codes, and some field work preferred.
• The ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
