Position Summary:
The Shape Corp student intern program provides students with the opportunity to gain exposure to the automotive manufacturing industry.. Students can enhance their college experience by working in a challenging and dynamic workplace, gaining invaluable experience for next steps in their careers.

Essential position functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop and build python ( and other codes as needed) applications to support engineering development of Shape products.
  • Develop automated workflows for the creation of FEA models.
  • Build applications to automate the creation of simulation reports
  • Improve machine learning models
  • Integrate LLM with python tools
  • Help build data search tools and visualization dashboards for CAE and test data.
  • Support integration of ML models into internal GUI tools (Tkinter-based) used by engineers
  • Work with large datasets from simulations and physical tests to clean, organize, and transform data

Additional duties as assigned by the supervisor, not otherwise specified in this position description.
