Reports To: Program Manager / Leadership Team

Location: Los Angeles

Pay Range: $58,000 – $62,000 annually

Job Summary

The Construction Site Supervisor will oversee Inspire Together's construction projects while providing hands-on training and mentorship to youth participants. This role combines construction leadership with workforce development, ensuring participants gain practical job skills in a safe and supportive environment. The Supervisor will maintain job site safety, manage staff and participants, and ensure construction projects are completed on time and up to standard.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor youth participants in construction-related tasks, providing hands-on instruction and support.
  • Lead participant safety training, site orientations, and ongoing construction onboarding.
  • Ensure oversight, safety, and productivity of all participants and staff on the construction site.
  • Create strategic plans for the timely execution of construction and remodeling projects.
  • Conduct safety meetings, walkthroughs, and complete site safety reports.
  • Collaborate with case managers, job developers, and intake specialists to support participant success.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and case conferences to discuss program updates and participant progress.
  • Conduct monthly case file audits to ensure participant documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Provide consistent feedback, motivation, and coaching to youth participants to help build confidence and skills.
  • Ensure availability of tools, equipment, and materials needed for project completion.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with building codes and specifications.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of construction supervision experience, preferably with youth or workforce development programs.
  • Education: High School Diploma required; Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred. A combination of relevant education and 2 years of experience may be considered.

  • Licenses/Certifications:

  • Licensed Contractor (required)

  • OSHA Construction Safety Certification (required)

  • Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and building codes.

  • Ability to mentor and train youth participants with patience and encouragement.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical documents.

  • Other Requirements:

  • Must pass a fingerprint clearance and background check (including criminal history, references, employment, and education verification).

  • Valid California driver's license, proof of automobile insurance, and reliable transportation.
Working Conditions
  • Full-time, on-site role.
  • Work is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work with construction tools and equipment.
