Job Title: Senior SD-WAN Engineer (Silver Peak)

Location: Remote

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SD-WAN Engineer with extensive hands-on experience in Silver Peak (Aruba EdgeConnect) solutions. The ideal candidate will have successfully led and executed enterprise-wide SD-WAN deployments end-to-end ("soup to nuts") without relying on OEM or professional services teams. This role demands deep technical expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, distributed environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end deployment and configuration of Silver Peak SD-WAN (Aruba EdgeConnect) solutions across enterprise environments.
  • Design, implement, and optimize SD-WAN architecture, ensuring scalability, resiliency, and security.
  • Configure and manage Silver Peak Orchestrator and EdgeConnect appliances for centralized monitoring and policy control.
  • Integrate SD-WAN solutions with existing network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, and VPNs.
  • Perform cutover, migration, and troubleshooting for large-scale branch and data center rollouts.
  • Collaborate with network and security teams to define and enforce traffic policies, QoS, and routing strategies.
  • Provide documentation, runbooks, and training for operations and support teams.
  • Monitor and fine-tune SD-WAN performance using analytics and monitoring tools.
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, and compliance with enterprise network standards.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5–8+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering with a focus on SD-WAN technologies.
  • Strong expertise in Silver Peak SD-WAN (Aruba EdgeConnect) – including Orchestrator, Boost, and EdgeConnect appliance deployment.
  • Proven track record of enterprise-scale SD-WAN deployments done independently (without OEM/AS support).
  • Deep understanding of routing (BGP, OSPF, static routing), VPN, QoS, and WAN optimization.
  • Experience integrating SD-WAN with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Proficiency with network troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, NetFlow, SNMP, etc.).
  • Familiarity with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities.
