Join our collaborative team in Cottage Grove and play a key role in supporting manufacturers by ensuring the timely delivery of materials. As an Order Management Specialist, you'll help keep operations running smoothly by managing backorders, coordinating with our purchasing team, and keeping internal teams informed. Hours are 8am-5pm Monday- Friday with a pay range of $21-$25/hr.

Order Management Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Track and manage backorders, out-of-stock items, and obsolete products to keep manufacturers running without delays.
  • Place rush orders for urgent customer needs and update lead times for items on backorder.
  • Maintain customer order tracking spreadsheets, especially for major accounts.
  • Communicate order status updates to customers and internal teams via email.
  • Collaborate with account managers and sales representatives to provide alternative solutions when items are delayed or unavailable.
  • Monitor order tracking from plants to ensure accurate delivery information.
  • Support the purchasing and customer service teams in reviewing open orders and order updates.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (tracking, spreadsheets, conditional formatting).
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Previous experience in purchasing, customer service, or order management is a plus.
