JOB SUMMARY

We are looking to find a full-time Senior Systems Engineer to work on our Cloud based product offerings. This role will work with a small, tight-knit team of engineers with varying proficiencies and skill-sets. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with our solution architect to design, prototype and develop private cloud on VMWare.
  • Design and configure VMware architecture which includes VMware vSphere, NSX-T, NSX-V, Kubernetes.
  • Implement and design NSX-t for cross cloud migration.
  • Design and configure Vmware cloud on AWS
  • Design and support Azure deployments.
  • Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, and high availability.
  • Design and support large enterprise deployments.
  •  Design, implement, and maintain server, storage, network, and security infrastructure 
  •  Design, implement, and test disaster recovery and business continuity architecture 
  • Create and implement automation for cloud platforms as well as monitoring and alerting purposes
  • Collaborate in a cross-functional environment with network engineers, system engineers and software engineers to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
  • Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity standards
  • Automate repeatable processes

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

  • Minimum 5 years supporting VMware vSphere or VMware products.
  • Proficient with VMware NSX V and NSX-T
  • Proficient with Azure 
  • Working knowledge of Vmware on AWS.
  • Experience with vmware vsan 
  • Experience designing and/or supporting large enterprise deployments.
  • In-depth understanding of L2/L3 networking protocols including switching technologies, routing fundamentals, IP subnetting and Address Management,, firewalling, load balancers, Security trust zones, Management Networks, VPN and network design 
  • Experience with SAN/NAS (IBM/Netapp/Infinidat/EMC)
  • Experience supporting SAN switches (Brocade and Cisco)
  • Proficient with scripting tasks (python and powershell/powercli)
  • Proficient with system monitoring, performance troubleshooting and OS tuning.
  • Experienced with multiple operating systems (including but not limited to Linux and Windows)
  • Ideal candidate would have VCP-DCV, VCP-NV, CCNA or above
  • Experience with C7000, HP Synergy, Fujitsu BX900 or Cisco UCS.
  • Good Communication skills
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
