Summary The Client Relationship Manager is responsible for providing personalized financial service and guidance to a portfolio of high–net-worth and emerging affluent clients. This role combines attentive relationship management with a community-focused approach to business development. The Relationship Manager ensures each client receives exceptional care while identifying opportunities to bring new relationships to the bank and strengthen ties within the local community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Build, manage, and nurture long-term relationships with high-net-worth clients, families, and small business owners. 

2. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients' day-to-day banking needs, ensuring prompt and professional service.

3. Deliver customized financial solutions, including deposit, lending, and wealth banking products, tailored to each client's goals.

4. Proactively identify opportunities to deepen existing relationships and generate new business through community involvement, networking, and referrals.

5. Collaborate with other departments—including commercial lending, mortgage, and retail —to deliver a full suite of bank solutions.

6. Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of client interactions and account activity.

7. Uphold all compliance, regulatory, and internal policy standards.

8. Represent the bank positively in the community through local events, volunteerism, and relationship-building initiatives.

9. Adheres to all State and Federal banking regulations.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience and 3+ years of experience in wealth banking, private banking, or relationship banking.  

Language Skills   

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills   

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability   

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills  

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Application/Online Internet (Cash Management) software; Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Prefer experience with Loan software and Fiserv. 

Other Qualifications

Strong financial understanding of deposit, credit, and other financial products. Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through. Proven ability to build trust and lasting client relationships within the community. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine service mindset. Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment. 

Must be able to travel to meet clients and to attend meetings at other locations using own transportation.
