Job Summary

We're seeking experienced Fiber Splicing Technicians to join our team for a long-term data center build project. Candidates must have proven experience with high-density ribbon splicing and data center or hyperscale environments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality fiber splicing (including ribbon splicing) and testing.
  • Support structured cabling and data center build-out operations.
  • Maintain safety standards and follow site-specific protocols.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and project leads to ensure timely delivery.
  • Document and report splicing test results accurately.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in fiber splicing (high-density/ribbon splicing required).
  • Previous experience in data center or hyperscale environments preferred.
  • Must possess or obtain required PPE and basic hand tools.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a background check.
  • Willingness to attend Karavan-led training sessions prior to mobilization:
  • Maryland (DMV) area for local techs, or
  • Regional training location (TBD).

Logistics

  • Technicians are responsible for arranging their own travel and accommodation.
  • Room-sharing or pooling encouraged to reduce lodging costs.
  • Full site location and housing options shared prior to deployment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Rate: $55/hour
  • Overtime Rate: $82.50/hour (after 40 hrs/week)
  • Per Diem: $125/day (to cover meals & lodging)
  • Work Schedule:
  • Two 12-hour shifts:
  • Day: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Night: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • 6 days per week (Sunday optional based on site progress)
  • Rotational breaks approximately every 45 days, with coverage coordination.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 72 per week

Work Location: In person
