Position Overview

The Injection Molding Process Engineer is responsible for mold changes, process optimization, and mold industrialization in a systematic and timely manner. This role supports production efficiency, quality improvement, and compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform mold changes and optimize injection molding processes.
  • Troubleshoot molding issues to meet specifications for size, appearance, and cycle time.
  • Develop and maintain programs for injection molding machines and robots.
  • Perform try-outs, tool sampling, and support project relocations.
  • Maintain and follow 6S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
  • Ensure equipment and workstations are clean, organized, and safe.
  • Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, grinders, and measurement tools.
  • Recommend improvements for production methods and equipment performance.
  • Ensure all paperwork and computer system entries are accurate and complete.
  • Follow company policies, safety rules, and environmental standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF 16949, TISAX).

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or injection molding environment.
  • Experience with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 standards.
  • Familiarity with Core Tools (8D, 6 Why, Fishbone Diagram, etc.).
  • Understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to process various plastics (ABS, PC, PP, TPE, etc.).
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform standing/walking tasks for extended periods.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical documentation.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
