The Position:
Makpar has an exciting opportunity for a Mobility Administrator to join our growing team. The Mobility Administrator will provide support for an Agency (Police "Department") of approximately 3,200 users. The Mobility Administrator is responsible for Mobile device administration consisting of an enterprise smartphone deployment of approximately 3200+ iPhones with an on-premises Air Watch Mobile Device Management solution. This role requires collaboration with federal program managers, agency staff, contracting officers, and multi-disciplinary development teams. The Mobility Administrator will provide technical support on major Wireless initiatives and establish goals and plans that meet program/project objectives. The Mobility Administrator duties include supporting the design, fielding, and sustainment of mobility capabilities.
Role Specific Duties/ Role Responsibilities:- Support mobility systems
- Utilize experience with mobile applications, mobile device management, mobile virtual private network technologies, server and cloud-based infrastructure
- Develop and recommend improvements to processes and procedures
- Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control plans
- Research, design, and implement security solutions
- Track and report on identified information system vulnerabilities
- Monitor, review, analyze, performance tune, and make recommendations that will result in continuous optimization
- Keep OIS abreast of emerging mobile technologies and the latest network standards
- Research, compile, and analyze system design to assist with the resolution of network issues
- Establish and maintain procedures for ensuring the continued system reliability
- Automate systems
- Apply knowledge of standards, policies, principles, practices and techniques of system engineering and documentation
- Research, compiles, and analyzes system design to assist with the resolution of system operability and interoperability issues
- Apply process improvement methodologies such as the Capability Maturity Model
- Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with management, staff, and people at all levels, both internally and externally
- Communicate comprehensive information, ideas and advice in a clear, concise and logical manner, both orally and in writing
- Provides data for audits
- Issue and return property.
- Possess a bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering, Information Systems, Business, or other relevant discipline
- Have a minimum of 4 years' experience in the related area as an individual contributor
- Possess base-level certification, such as A+, Security+, or Network+
- Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 years and be Federal Tax compliant.
- Possess a Core certification within their functional area, such as VMware AirWatch Academy Certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder briefings, technical documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
