Role Overview: .Net Software Engineer III – MES Team
The Software Engineer III will primarily focus on designing, coding, and deploying software solutions that enhance Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and related applications. This role is deeply technical, requiring strong programming skills, system integration expertise, and the ability to develop scalable, automated solutions for manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Custom MES Applications: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to build shop-floor monitoring tools and extend MES functionality for real-time production insights.
  • Integrate and Enhance Existing Systems: Design and implement software modules that integrate with current MES platforms, improving performance and adding new capabilities.
  • Automation and Infrastructure Coding: Develop scripts and tools for automating MES processes, including provisioning, scaling, and managing Kubernetes clusters for high availability and security.
  • System Programming and Optimization: Modify and maintain system-level software components (e.g., compilers, macros, subroutines) and optimize database interactions for speed and reliability.
  • Data Collection and Reporting Tools: Build secondary applications for environmental data gathering and assembly repair reporting, ensuring accurate data flow and analytics.
  • Testing and Documentation: Conduct unit and integration tests, debug complex issues, and create detailed technical documentation for code, processes, and system configurations.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Education & Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
    • Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT or software engineering roles.
  • Core Technical Skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong documentation skills.
    • Intermediate/Advanced coding experience in C#, ASP.NET, HTML5, WinForms, and debugging GMES applications.
    • Strong knowledge of Vue 3.X, Java 17.X, Spring Boot 2.7.X, .NET Framework 4.8, and web servers like NginX, Tomcat.
    • Database expertise with MariaDB, Tibero, Oracle 11g, SQL Server, and ability to write PL/SQL statements.
    • Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments (RHEL 9.X, RedHat, Debian, Amazon Linux, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu).
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving
    • Excellent analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
    • Ability to generate ideas for system improvement and optimize performance.
  • Other Requirements
    • Ability to work overtime when required.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned shop.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Industry Certifications
    • Certified Manufacturing Technology Professional (CMfgT), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), or ISA-95 Certificate Program for MES and manufacturing process integration.
  • MES Platform Expertise
    • Certifications in Rockwell Automation MES, Siemens SIMATIC IT MES, or Oracle Manufacturing Cloud to demonstrate advanced MES implementation and maintenance skills.
  • IT and Security Certifications
    • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) for system audit and compliance, and Project Management Professional (PMP) for MES project leadership.
  • Specialized MES and Kubernetes Certifications
    • Certified MES Professional (CmMESP) and Kubernetes certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) for container orchestration and automation.
  • Technical Certifications (Preferre)
    • A+, Microsoft Certifications (MCPD, MCITP, MCTS) are a plus
  • Additional Technical Credentials
    • Any relevant certifications in automation, scripting, or cloud technologies that enhance MES integration and scalability.

    • Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture, APIs, and ecosystem tools (Helm, Kustomize).
    • Proficiency in automation and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
    • Knowledge of business processes related to MES and basic understanding of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller).
