- Interpret data and develop accurate DSM-5-TR diagnostic impressions.
- Produce clear, actionable written reports aligned with clinical and insurer requirements.
Medical Necessity, Insurance Knowledge & Compliance
- Assess and document medical necessity in accordance with AHCCCS and commercial insurance guidelines.
- Ensure high standards of HIPAA compliance and adherence to professional ethics.
- Complete timely, accurate documentation and billing support materials.
Care Coordination & Family Support
- Conduct family feedback sessions that are compassionate, educational, and solution-oriented.
- Collaborate with internal MORIAH Health staff and external providers, schools, and community organizations.
- Offer recommendations tailored to each child's strengths, needs, and cultural context.
Commitment to Underserved Youth
- Deliver evaluations with cultural humility and attention to systemic barriers affecting access to care.
- Incorporate social determinants of health into diagnostic formulation and recommendations.
- Contribute to MORIAH Health's mission of improving access to diagnostic services that open pathways to support and opportunity.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (PhD, PsyD, or EdD) in Clinical, Counseling, School, or Educational Psychology.
- Active Arizona license as a psychologist (or eligibility for immediate licensure).
- Strong experience conducting youth assessments for ASD, ADHD, and learning disorders.
- Proficiency with standardized assessment tools and evidence-based evaluation practices.
- Familiarity with medical necessity guidelines, documentation requirements, and payer expectations.
- Excellent knowledge of HIPAA and ethical practice standards.
- Experience working with youth from underserved, diverse, or marginalized communities.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Credentialed or eligible for credentialing with commercial insurers and AHCCCS.
- Training or certification in gold-standard autism diagnostic tools (e.g., ADOS-2).
- Experience in nonprofit, community-based, or mission-focused clinical settings.
- Trauma-informed and culturally grounded assessment experience.
