Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support the general ledger and accounts payable functions across multiple entities within our portfolio. This role will manage daily and monthly accounting activities for a mix of operating businesses—including a regional amusement attraction—as well as real estate and other passive asset entities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, experience managing full-cycle AP/GL processes, and the ability to work independently while supporting a broader finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Manage the accounts payable cycle: invoice processing, payment runs, and compliance with internal controls.
- Reconcile bank accounts, sub-ledgers, intercompany balances, and POS sales data.
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports; research and resolve variances.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; CPA or CPA-track preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with exposure to multi-entity environments.
- Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control practices.
- High proficiency in Excel; experience with NetSuite or comparable ERP strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage priorities across entities with varying levels of complexity.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
