Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Delivery Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and efficient delivery operations while providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

Duties

  • Coordinate and schedule deliveries to ensure timely arrival at customer locations.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
  • Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks, while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage.
  • Assist with heavy lifting and moving of products as needed during the delivery process.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure efficient loading processes.
  • Provide support in route planning for optimal delivery efficiency.

Skills

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with clients.
  • Previous warehouse experience is preferred to understand logistics operations.
  • Valid commercial driving license (CDL) is a plus; experience driving box trucks is highly desirable.
  • Proven delivery driver experience with knowledge of route driving techniques.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Familiarity with operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Comfortable driving manual transmission vehicles when necessary.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
