Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Shift Manager to oversee daily operations within our security team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of security protocols, and the ability to manage staff effectively during assigned shifts. This role is vital in maintaining a safe, secure environment and ensuring operational efficiency across the facility. Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or security roles is highly valued, along with certifications such as CPR and First Aid.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate security personnel during assigned shifts to ensure coverage and adherence to policies.
  • Monitor surveillance systems including CCTV to detect and respond to security incidents promptly.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential risks or breaches in security.
  • Manage conflict situations with professionalism, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate incidents.
  • Implement loss prevention strategies and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Maintain detailed incident reports and communicate effectively with management regarding any security concerns or breaches.
  • Oversee access control procedures and verify credentials of visitors and staff.
  • Provide first aid or CPR in emergency situations until professional medical assistance arrives if necessary.
  • Enforce company policies related to security, safety, and conduct during each shift.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is preferred.
  • Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, or Surveillance training are highly desirable.
  • Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle tense situations calmly and effectively.
  • Knowledge of CCTV systems, loss prevention techniques, and surveillance operations.
  • Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to manage a team during shift hours.
  • Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills for reporting incidents and coordinating with team members and management.
  • Valid security license or relevant certifications as required by local regulations is a plus. This position offers an opportunity to play a critical role in maintaining safety and security within our organization while developing leadership skills in a dynamic environment.
