Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in preparing accurate cost estimates, supporting project planning, and ensuring competitive pricing for our construction projects. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality construction solutions. The Project Estimator will utilize industry-leading tools and possess strong negotiation skills to secure profitable contracts while maintaining client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive construction estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents.
- Utilize software such as Procore and Planhub to prepare detailed bid proposals and cost analyses.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather accurate pricing information and negotiate terms effectively.
- Perform cost control analysis throughout the project lifecycle to ensure budgets are maintained.
- Assist in the preparation of contracts, scope of work, and bid packages aligned with project requirements.
- Support project management teams by providing accurate estimates that influence project scheduling and resource allocation.
- Conduct site visits as needed to gather on-site data and validate estimates against actual conditions.
- Monitor market trends, material costs, and labor rates to keep estimates current and competitive.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and site operations.
- Proficiency in Planhub and Procore, and other estimating or project management software is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, pricing strategies, and contract management within the construction industry.
- Knowledge of cost control techniques, construction management principles, and project management practices.
- Prior experience working on construction sites or within a construction management environment is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills combined with excellent communication abilities to present estimates clearly and persuasively. This position is integral to our project's success, requiring a proactive approach, technical expertise, and a collaborative mindset to deliver exceptional results across all phases of construction projects.
