Utilities and Facilities Operator

MISSION
To monitor and coordinate infrastructure projects and related costs and to execute the maintenance program for utilities and facilities, based on accurate and integrated plans, systems and tools for assigned sites, coordinating effectively and efficiently the assigned maintenance team, acting in accordance with the applicable standards, regulations, requirements as well as corporate and local policies and procedures.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / DECISIONS AREA
INFRASTRUCTURE AND MAINTENANCE UTILITIES AND FACILITIES STRATEGY EXECUTION
• Coordinates and ensures the deployment of infrastructure strategy and corporate utilities and facilities maintenance strategy for the assigned sites, in order to guarantee an accurate level of system reliability as well as reducing operative costs for utilities and facilities management. Providing the leader above with inputs aimed at effectively achieving targets.
GENERAL PLANT INFRASTRUCTURE
• Participates, if necessary, in the new building/plants/facilities projects, ensures the project outcomes are accurate and consistent according with the technical and legal specifications, requirements, economics, timing targets and standards with a minimal disruption to normal business actives.
• Delivers technological and the implementation of policies, procedures, operative instructions and tools received, in order to guarantee standardization within the plants, promoting and executing projects in order to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of buildings and facilities within scope, without compromising business continuity, safety, compliance and environmental.
• Participates in technical assessment and audit, ensuring the compliance of existing plants and facilities to company applicable standards and "good practices", procedures and guidelines and defines the corrective improvement action to be implemented, working with the relevant functions.
• Ensures the transactional processes dealing with the PA Authority/Institutions for the relevant practices and certificates related to the building/plant in scope, as well as with internal functions involved and qualified technical providers, according with the applicable law, standards and procedures.
MAINTENANCE UTILITIES AND FACILITIES PROGRAM EXECUTION
• Participates in the corporate utilities and facilities maintenance strategy definition and deployment, implementing an effective maintenance program (Preventive, Corrective, Predictive) for the assigned sites in order to ensure an accurate level of system reliability as well as reducing operative costs for utilities and facilities management.
• Ensures the maintenance program, plans and operational executions, working alongside the corporate maintenance and Quality Assurance team, according to the specific sites' regulatory and compliance requirements, tracking and monitoring the progression during the different phases in order to ensure the on-time delivery, by elaborating analysis and reports using the proper set of KPIs, working with the functions involved in the processes.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
• Delivers the project assigned: from requirements collections, feasibility, design, installation, validation, commissioning roll-out, monitors economics, resources, workloads outcomes and plan progressions; manages and solves critical issues implementing promptly the preventive and corrective actions approved ensuring the achievement.
• Ensures effective project progression and optimizing economics, return on investment in line with standards and ensures accurately formalization and finalization documents, tools and protocols guarantees robust implementation and execution according with applicable technical, legal, standards requirements and procedures.
UTILITIES AND FACILITIES SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT
• Participates at the supplier and outsourcing providers management as well as qualification phases working closely with the relevant functions involved, providing technical standards and guidelines related with the strategy and programs.
BUDGET MANAGEMENT
• Proposes to the leader above the budget proposal for infrastructure and utilities and facilities, manages properly the budget assigned.
RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
• Collaborates effectively with the peer functions supporting the processes robustness and readiness, providing feedback and evaluation on the services received from external providers, highlights areas of improvement.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
• Plans, organize, manages, coaches and develops assigned staff, ensuring the effective talent management, career path development and training, drive commitment and engagement.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or technical certification in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems.
2+ years of experience in industrial or facility maintenance.
Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and cleanroom protocols.
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
Basic computer skills for CMMS and documentation.
Boiler Technician Certification
EPA Universal Refrigerant Handling Certification
Experience with GMP environments
Forklift or aerial lift certification
Familiarity with SCADA or other industrial control systems
