Overview

75+ year old tank trailer dealership looking for a qualified candidate to become our Parts & Operations Assistant.

Duties

  • Coordinate with Parts Manager to maintain proper inventory levels in parts department
  • Ordering, shipping, and receiving of parts.
  • Coordinate with Service Manager to ensure appropriate parts are on hand or on order to properly perform all work orders in shop.
  • Work with both Parts and Service Managers to understand jobs that are currently in shop, waiting to go in the shop, or scheduled to come to the shop, and understanding what each job will entail (technical expertise needed and/or parts required).
  • Provide excellent customer support whether it be for parts or service requests, both face-to-face, or over the phone.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in supply chain management, warehouse management or logistics roles.
  • Familiarity with procurement management processes including sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing strategies.
  • QuickBooks experience preferred.
  • Microsoft Office experience required.
  • Ability to perform data entry accurately while managing inventory control records effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and shipping & receiving activities.
  • Customer service orientation with strong communication skills for liaising with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely (certification preferred) and familiarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks.
  • Basic understanding of automotive OEM parts sourcing and auto body repair processes is advantageous.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
