The Senior Compliance Professional ensures compliance with governmental requirements. The Senior Compliance Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Senior Compliance Professional role is responsible for ensuring the Clinical Operations department compliance with the Center of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), National Committee of Quality Accreditation (NCQA), and local state Medicaid regulations.

This role is responsible for developing and maintaining letter templates for Medicare and D-SNP utilization management business areas. Letter templates are created in accordance with state and Federal requirements. Attention to detail is crucial in this role to ensure determination tools are created accurately and efficiently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required in order to be successful in this role. In this role, you will make decisions on moderately complex issues regarding technical approach for assigned projects.

Responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Creates, maintains, and updates member letter templates for Medicare and D-SNP Utilization Management decisions
  • Tracks changes to state and federal regulations and to internal policies to ensure letters are updated timely

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in CGX
  • Previous experience with Medicare and D-SNP Utilization Management
  • Strong working knowledge of the UM Letters process
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Self-starter with a high level of accountability
  • Strong organizational and effective time management skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to achieve results
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently under general instructions

  • Compliance experience researching federal and state regulations

Work-At-Home Requirements

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
  • Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense
  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$86,300 - $118,700 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
