Job Summary
As a Senior Durability CAE Engineer, you will spearhead the durability evaluations for a range of vehicle subsystems (including but not limited to Suspension, Body Structures, Powertrain) through both computational assessments and physical testing activities. This role involves a deep interaction with design teams to influence design changes, optimize designs for durability, and ensure all vehicle parts meet the stringent durability requirements. The ideal candidate will leverage CAE tools to simulate and analyze strength, stiffness, and fatigue, correlating these findings with real-world tests to drive innovation in vehicle design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive durability analysis (strength, stiffness, fatigue) across various vehicle subsystems using CAE tools.
  • Develop and correlate CAE models with physical test data to validate designs.
  • Generate and maintain detailed documentation of all analyses and testing procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with design engineers to ensure components meet durability criteria.
  • Remain abreast of and proficient in the latest CAE software tools and testing techniques, contributing to method development and process automation.

Must-Have Skills

  • Proficient in CAE software (e.g., ANSA, HyperMesh, OptiStruct)
  • Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, particularly in structures and materials mechanics.
  • Experience in vehicle-level analysis and development, including linear and non-linear analysis, fatigue analysis, and design optimization.

Industry Experience Required

  • Automotive industry experience, with a focus on vehicle structure and components durability.
