Role Overview

We are seeking a
Media Operations Specialist
to manage content delivery workflows and ensure timely distribution of video-on-demand (VOD) assets and advertising materials to affiliates and MVPDs. This role requires strong technical expertise in media delivery systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot complex workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely communication and resolution for incoming affiliate and MVPD inquiries and support requests.
  • Execute distribution delivery planners and communicate delivery schedules to all entitled affiliates and MVPDs.
  • Communicate takedown alerts and affiliate notifications for high-profile content deliveries and programming priorities.
  • Redeliver VOD packages to affiliates/MVPDs as requested and track related issues.
  • Oversee automated and manual deliveries of VOD and DAI ads/promos using tools such as
    Aspera
    ,
    Signiant
    ,
    Media Monorail
    ,
    Mediator
    , and
    Jellyroll
    .
  • Monitor all distribution workflows to ensure timeliness and ecosystem stability.
  • Confirm all entertainment programming assets are delivered as scheduled by programming teams.
  • Perform daily reporting and tactical tasks related to Canoe DAI assets/metadata, Nielsen VOD TIC Encoding data, and manage DAI Google reports with Ad Sales.
  • Troubleshoot workflow failures, including automation issues, and manually package content when necessary to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in department workflows, databases, and software.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of high-level issues related to file integrity, media attributes, and content compliance.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assist in documenting department processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and enforce media management, storage, and content security policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide exceptional customer service.

Required Skills
