Our growing integrative oncology practice is seeking a full-time medical assistant. This position is clinical in nature. Primary duties are as follows:

-Assisting nurses with infusions

-Patient vital signs/assessments

-Hands-on therapies (e.g., lymphatic therapy)

-Charting in our EMR

This position requires excellent clinical skills, as well as outstanding people skills. It is also a position for someone who wants to work hard, is a team player, and who can be flexible in helping out in various areas as needed with a cheerful, professional attitude.

In addition to experience in a medical/clinical assistant role, organizational skills as well as comfort using a computer are expected.

We are open Monday through Friday, with no required weekend or evening hours. The ideal candidate will have at least a high school diploma or equivalent, experience working as a medical assistant, be comfortable interacting with others both in person and on the phone, and have an appreciation for integrative medicine.

Requirements:

A certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is valued, but not required for the appropriate candidate.

Significant experience in a medical office, particularly with oncology is highly desirable.

Proficiency in dealing with knowledgeable, educated patients.

Compassionate patient care approach, especially when handling patients undergoing cancer treatment.

Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy medical setting.
