Pipe Layer

Roadway Construction, LLC seeks an experienced Pipe Layer for a pipe crew in St. Lucie County and Palm Beach County. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, aligning, and installing underground pipes for storm drains, sanitation sewers, water mains, and other utilities according to project specifications. This role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Excavate, grade, and prepare trenches for pipe installation.
• Measure, cut, and connect pipes using hand and power tools.
• Align and position pipes in trenches to proper grade and alignment.
• Seal joints and ensure watertight connections.
• Backfill and compact trenches after pipe installation.
• Operate or assist with heavy equipment as needed (e.g., excavators, loaders).
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Inspect and test installed systems for leaks or defects.
• Follow all company and OSHA safety guidelines.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.

Job Requirements:

• High school degree or equivalent educational experience; vocational school or trade apprenticeships a plus
• OSHA 10 certification preferred
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 40 pounds
• Possess strong communication skills (verbal and non-verbal).
• Bi-lingual preferred
