Position Summary

The SikhNet Giving & Growth Manager plays a key role in advancing SikhNet's mission by strengthening and expanding donor relationships, supporting fundraising campaigns, and driving growth in donor engagement. This position focuses on cultivating mid-level and major donors, managing campaigns, coordinating outreach, and ensuring accurate tracking of fundraising progress.

The ideal candidate is highly relational, detail-oriented, and passionate about connecting supporters to SikhNet's impact. They are a creative communicator who enjoys cultivating meaningful donor relationships, while also bringing strong organizational skills to manage data, reporting, and campaign execution.

This is a remote position with the ability to travel internationally if needed. May be required to work weekends at events.

Primary Responsibilities
Fundraising Strategy & Donor Growth

• Collaborate with the Executive Director, the Fundraising Team, Finance, Marketing (Content and Digital) & Engineering Teams to develop and implement year round and annual fundraising strategies and campaign plans.
• Set clear goals for donor engagement, retention, and growth across giving levels.
• Research, identify, and build relationships with new donor prospects, with a focus on mid-level and major donors.

Donor Engagement & Relationship Management

• Personally engage with donors through calls, emails, and meetings to build lasting relationships and encourage increased giving.
• Coordinate and schedule donor meetings and calls for the Executive Director and other SikhNet leaders.
• Support the development of personalized stewardship strategies, thank-you communications, and donor recognition activities.

Campaigns & Communications

• Collaborate with the fundraising and marketing teams to design and implement fundraising campaigns (online and offline).
• Draft fundraising emails, social media captions, and other donor-facing communications.
• Contribute to creative campaign materials, such as donor gifts and campaign reels.

Data, Reporting & Systems

• Maintain and update donor tracking sheets with next steps, follow-ups, and fundraising totals.
• Ensure accurate data entry into SikhNet's fundraising and CRM tools (Virtuous, Fundraising Up, Razorpay).
• Pull reports and provide analysis of donor activity, campaign outcomes, and giving trends.

Secondary Responsibilities
Team Collaboration

• Participate in regular fundraising strategy meetings and provide input on donor engagement approaches.
• Collaborate with other SikhNet teams to align fundraising messaging with SikhNet's broader mission and communications.
• Support colleagues during peak campaign seasons and fundraising events.

Creative Contributions

• Help conceptualize donor appreciation initiatives, including thank-you gifts and recognition programs.
• Brainstorm and test new ways to engage donors, expand giving, and strengthen donor loyalty

Common Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to donor inquiries with professionalism and care.
• Manage outreach for failed or lapsed donations to encourage donor renewal.
• Track, monitor, and report on donor engagement and campaign results.
• Contribute to a culture of gratitude and growth within the SikhNet team

Key Qualifications

Education & Experience
:

• 5+ years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, nonprofit development, or related fields.
• Experience with donor database/CRM systems (Virtuous or similar), reporting tools, and digital fundraising platforms.
• Demonstrated success in building donor relationships and meeting fundraising goals.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage donors warmly and authentically.
• Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and accuracy in data tracking.
