Responsibilities

  • Deliver well-prepared lessons aligned with curriculum standards, ensuring student engagement and understanding
  • Manage classroom behavior proactively to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs and learning styles
  • Collaborate with school staff to support student progress and address individual challenges
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and monitor student participation throughout the day
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding classroom activities and student well-being
  • Follow school policies and procedures diligently to uphold a positive educational atmosphere

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with middle school students or in an educational setting is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage classroom dynamics confidently and professionally
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to foster positive relationships with students and staff
  • Ability to commit to a long-term substitute schedule for extended periods as needed
  • Passion for education, student development, and creating an inspiring learning environment
