Your Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to expand market share within the aerospace and space bearing sector.
- Develop cost-effective product solutions in partnership with Aerospace OEMs, aerospace system suppliers, and internal manufacturing teams.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of customer requirements to inform application development activities.
- Translate customer needs into precise technical specifications and manage the specification release process.
- Support the introduction of new technologies and materials into the manufacturing plant, and present advancements and test data to customers.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with local universities and colleges to facilitate new technology testing initiatives.
- Perform computational analyses of bearing designs to aid customer-driven new product development and ongoing product support.
Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Systems, Aerospace, or Metallurgical Engineering
- Proficiency in CAD software (Unigraphics, Pro/E) for orthographic projection drawing, 3D modeling, and analysis
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to write clear work instructions for a shop floor environment
- Experience with MS Office and MS Access
- Strong facilitation and teamwork skills
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employment visa or other sponsorship
- This position requires compliance with Export Control regulations; applicants must qualify as a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
Preferred:
- Master's degree in Mechanical, Systems, Aerospace, or Metallurgical Engineering
- Extensive knowledge of bearing manufacturing practices
- 2+ years of design experience in aerospace or space manufacturing
