Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to oversee daily operations at our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food service management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, controlling inventory, and maintaining high levels of hospitality and operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate all restaurant activities, including food preparation, service, and cleanliness
  • Lead staff training and development to ensure excellent customer service and adherence to food safety standards
  • Manage shift schedules, assign duties, and oversee team performance to optimize productivity
  • Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing costs
  • Handle cash transactions, POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS), and financial reporting
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards across the kitchen and dining areas
  • Monitor customer satisfaction levels and address any issues promptly
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff on food production, menu planning, and catering events
  • Implement quality control measures for food handling, presentation, and service delivery
  • Conduct interviews for hiring new staff members and participate in ongoing staff training initiatives

Experience

  • Proven management experience in fine dining restaurants.
  • Extensive background in food industry & hospitality management
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience with team management, training & development, and shift management
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred
  • Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and food safety protocols (including HACCP standards)
  • Prior experience in fine dining or banquet settings is a plus
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a positive work environment
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
  • Knowledge of culinary techniques, food handling procedures, and restaurant operations management
