We combine zoning intelligence, generative site planning, financial modeling, and real-time market data to help developers, investors, and governments make smarter, faster land-use decisions. Think of us as the "Stripe + Shopify" for global infill housing.

Backed by investors across North America and MENA, we're a fast-growing cross-border startup headquartered in Vancouver with engineering and product teams distributed between the U.S., Canada, and China. We've recently launched our MVP and are onboarding users across Canada, the U.S., and Saudi Arabia.

We are now looking for a U.S.-based Tech Lead / Founding Engineer to help us build the next generation of our platform — and help drive the company toward $10M ARR and beyond.

What You'll Do

  • Lead technical architecture and system design across frontend, backend, and geospatial data infrastructure.
  • Translate product vision and Figma designs into a well-structured engineering roadmap.
  • Work directly with the CEO, CPO, and global engineering team to deliver high-quality code with velocity.
  • Build and scale APIs for zoning, AI design, and ROI analytics, using Python, Django, PostGIS, and REST.
  • Guide and review code across teams, establish and enforce engineering best practices.
  • Own devops workflows, data integrity, and performance optimization.
  • Serve as the anchor of our U.S. time zone, enabling seamless async handoff with our 996 development team in Asia.

Who You Are

  • 5+ years full-stack experience in high-growth startups or top-tier tech companies.
  • Strong skills in React, Tailwind CSS, Python (Django/FastAPI), PostgreSQL/PostGIS, and REST APIs.
  • Solid understanding of system design, data modeling, caching, and deployment.
  • Comfortable working async across multiple time zones, using tools like Notion, Linear, GitHub, and Slack.
  • Bonus if you have experience with Mapbox, geospatial analytics, or AI model integration.
  • Excellent communicator. Bilingual English/Mandarin is a plus but not required.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset. You want to own products, not just tasks.
