We're seeking a caring and dependable Toddler and 2-year-old Teacher (Assistant) to support our Lead Teachers and help create meaningful learning experiences for young children.

Position Summary:

As an assistant teacher, you will work closely with the lead teacher to support classroom activities, maintain a safe and engaging environment, and nurture the social, emotional, and developmental growth of every child in your care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and activities
  • Supervise and ensure the safety of children at all times
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting classroom
  • Support children's learning through play, hands-on activities, and positive guidance
  • Aid in diapering, toileting, and mealtime routines as needed
  • Observe and respond to children's needs and behaviors with patience and care
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers and families
  • Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • At least 1 year of experience working with young children in a professional setting
  • Warm, patient, and nurturing personality
  • Ability to work well on a team and follow guidance from the lead teacher
  • Must pass background check, TB test, and required health screenings prior to first day
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • ITS-SIDS certification (or willingness to obtain)

Preferred but Not Required:

  • Interest in pursuing a career in Early Childhood Education
  • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Part-time hours/week)
