We are seeking a skilled, full-time Medical Assistant to join our expanding team at our Mount Kisco location. This position plays an essential role in supporting our providers, ensuring seamless clinical flow, and delivering an exceptional patient experience from the moment each guest steps through our doors.
As a Canvas Medical Spa Medical Assistant, you will assist with patient intake, treatment preparation, clinical documentation, and post-procedure coordination while upholding the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and patient care.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced luxury aesthetic setting, and is genuinely passionate about client care and results. You will work closely with our Nurses, PAs, and Aestheticians, and collaborate across departments to create a warm, elevated experience for every Canvas patient.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred
- Experience in a medical or aesthetic clinic setting
- Phlebotomy or injection assistance experience a plus
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Aesthetic Pro experience preferred)
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Background in skincare, dermatology, or aesthetics strongly preferred
- Must meet all U.S. employment and eligibility requirements
JOB RESPONSIBILITIESPatient Intake & Preparation
- Welcome patients and ensure a warm, professional check-in experience
- Verify IDs, review consent forms, and confirm medical history
- Record vitals and capture standardized pre-procedure photos
- Prepare treatment rooms with clean linens, sterile instruments, and properly labeled supplies
Procedure Support (Under RN/PA Supervision)
- Prepare the skin (cleanse, degrease, apply topical anesthetics) per protocol
- Lay out syringes, needles, dilution materials, and devices using strict sterile technique
- Assist with patient positioning, comfort, and reassurance during treatments
Post-Procedure & Follow-Up
- Break down and sanitize treatment rooms; dispose of sharps and biohazards correctly
- Review post-care instructions and confirm follow-up appointments or photography needs
- Document product usage, lot numbers, expiration dates, and treatment details accurately in EMR
Inventory & Clinic Operations
- Track, restock, and organize injectables, consumables, and skincare
- Monitor supply levels and communicate restocking needs
- Support front desk workflows when needed (checkout, scheduling, client coordination)
