Janitorial Maintenance Technician

Our company is looking for a Janitorial Maintenance Technician to join our team. The candidate must be able to perform routine cleaning and maintenance at residential and commercial buildings in a timely and professional manner. This position will require the candidate to physically labor with tools, equipment, ladders, construction, and cleaning supplies daily. Tasks:

The ideal candidate must have experience or willingness to learn in all aspects of property and building cleaning and maintenance, including but not limited to:

• Consistently maintain a clean and attractive environment in and around building facilities including doors, windows, floors, hallways, bathrooms, common areas, offices, corridors, lobbies, elevators, seating areas, sidewalks, landscapes, pool, and grounds.
• Perform minor and routine maintenance and assist with repairs of residential and commercial properties.
• Perform building and common area upkeep daily such as general housekeeping, landscaping, lawn mowing, weeding and snow removal.
• Sanitize facilities including restrooms, bathrooms, tubs, showers, urinals and toilets.
• Maintain floors including carpets, vinyl, tile and wood using vacuums, scrubbers, buffers, mops, and wet vacs.
• Maintain overall cleanliness of facilities by ensuring property containment and disposal of garbage, pet waste and other waste or spills.
• Use chemical solvents and cleaning supplies to sanitize and remove stains.
• Landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, planting, and weed removal.
• Complete preventative maintenance as assigned and required.
• Assist with tenant improvements as required.
• Maintain inventory, supplies, tools, and equipment as required.
• Survey properties and buildings to ensure they are consistent with quality, health, and safety standards.
• Coordinate maintenance issues and objectives with team members daily.

Skills and Requirements:

• Minimum 18 years of age; high school diploma or equivalent.
• Driver's license and reliable transportation to properties.
• CPR Certification a plus (will be given if not in possession).
• Ability to work with a multitude of tools and supplies.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Complete work to a quality level above industry standards understanding that every detail matters.
• Communicating with upper management, property managers, leasing agents, and maintenance team regarding issues; investigating and resolving such issues.
• Follow directions and work under minimum supervision.
• Ability to read and understand work assignments, as well as report verbally and provide written documentation as necessary.
• Capable of carrying at least 80 lbs.
• Desire for a long-term career.
• Willingness to work overtime when necessary to deliver services on time and under budget.
• Willingness to be on-call and work weekends.
• Willingness to submit to a background check and drug test.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
