Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in changing fryers, cooking on the line, preparing ingredients, following recipes, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills in a fast-paced environment, supporting the overall food service operations. Prior experience in food preparation or the food industry is preferred, but a strong willingness to learn is essential. The Prep Cook will play a vital role in delivering quality meals and supporting the kitchen team in creating an exceptional dining experience.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring according to recipes and menu specifications
  • Assist with meal preparation, including cooking and assembling dishes
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment
  • Changing Fryers and filtering Oil
  • Handle food with proper hygiene practices, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
  • Assist with catering orders and special event preparations as needed
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals and smooth kitchen operations

Skills

  • Ability to lift at least 30 pounds with no assistance
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety standards
  • Proficiency in menu planning and meal assembly
  • Excellent knife skills and familiarity with culinary tools and equipment
  • Previous restaurant or kitchen experience within the food industry preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Good organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team

Pay: $ $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 30.0 per week
