We are currently partnered with multiple growing home care agencies that are seeking a Home Health Aide Instructor. This role is responsible for administering the HHA curriculum in accordance with New York State Department of Health regulations and approved teaching guidelines, using a variety of instructional methods to support student success.

Schedule

Monday – Thursday

  • Morning Session: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

(4-week training program)

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction for Home Health Aide training, in-service, and competency programs.
  • Maintain departmental goals, standards, and compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Director of the Training Program and the Director of Patient Services.
  • Maintain accurate attendance and grade records.
  • Communicate effectively with students and staff.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the learning needs of diverse students.
  • Deliver didactic and clinical training based on the approved curriculum.
  • Record and report student performance daily in accordance with school policies.
  • Administer and grade all course examinations, assignments, and lab exercises.
  • Stay current with subject matter, certifications, and licensing requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Registered Professional Nurse licensed to practice in New York State.
  • NYS BPSS Teacher's License. (preferred)
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in: Nursing Home, Hospital or Home care .
  • Previous teaching experience in a classroom setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication, writing, and active listening skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and collaborate with others.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to diverse individuals.
  • Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to assess student performance.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adapt to the evolving needs of program participants.
  • Bilingual skills in English and other languages are a plus

Compensation

  • $40.00 per hour
