FOOD RUNNER / SERVER ASSISTANT – JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Overview

The Food Runner / Server Assistant supports servers and management by delivering food accurately and efficiently, maintaining table readiness, assisting with guest needs, and ensuring smooth front-of-house operations. This role plays a key part in the success of our tableside BBQ service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver food from the kitchen to tables quickly, accurately, and professionally
  • Assist servers with tableside service, including BBQ setup support when needed
  • Clear and reset tables promptly to maintain guest flow
  • Refill water, beverages, banchan, and side dishes as directed
  • Assist with restocking FOH items (plates, utensils, napkins, sauces)
  • Maintain cleanliness of service stations and dining areas
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and managers
  • Support guest requests and alert servers or managers when needed
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and service standards

  • Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment

  • Professional appearance and reliability
  • Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods
  • Previous restaurant experience preferred but not required
