Position: Director of Childcare Center
Role Overview:
- As the Childcare Director, you will oversee all aspects of our childcare program, ensuring compliance with state regulations and maintaining the highest standards of quality and excellence for both Abbott and Non-Abbott students/teachers.
- You will lead a team of enthusiastic educators, foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, and cultivate positive relationships with families and the community.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field. P3 Certification is a Plus
- Experience required in an Abbott preschool district and supervisory experience within an Abbott center, understanding of the CACFP requirements ECERS & TPOT assessments and Teaching Strategies Gold. Understanding of the NJ Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Experience with Procare a plus
- Being bilingual is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate childcare staff, providing ongoing support and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children, families, and staff.
- Collaborate with parents and community partners to support children's individual needs and foster a sense of belonging and community.
- Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations, school district regulations, health and safety standards, and program policies and procedures.
- Manage program budgets, enrollment, and administrative tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to collaborate with a diverse school population, foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment.
