Position Summary:
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading an international airline's commercial sales activities across the United States, with direct oversight of Account Managers and Sales Executives. The role focuses on driving revenue growth, strengthening relationships with key trade partners, tour operators, corporate accounts, and supporting the airline's strategic expansion across both East and Central USA.
The Sales Manager ensures consistent market engagement, alignment with the company's global sales strategy, and optimization of RJ's commercial presence across all U.S. gateways.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor, and motivate Account Managers and Sales Executives to achieve and exceed sales and revenue objectives.
- Set performance targets (KPIs), monitor results, and ensure accountability through regular performance reviews.
- Provide coaching and development to enhance team capabilities and succession readiness.
Sales Strategy & Market Development
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with RJ's global commercial goals and the business plan.
- Identify new business opportunities and revenue streams across corporate, trade, and group segments.
- Drive tactical and promotional initiatives to grow RJ's market share across all U.S. gateways.
- Represent Royal Jordanian at key trade events, travel shows, and partner meetings to strengthen brand visibility and industry engagement.
Account & Trade Partner Management
- Oversee Account Managers' engagement with major travel agencies, consolidators, tour operators, and cruise partners.
- Support the negotiation and management of commercial agreements, incentive programs, and preferred partner deals.
- Ensure consistent communication and follow-up with key accounts through structured sales visits and CRM updates.
- Collaborate with marketing to implement co-branded campaigns and joint promotions with travel partners.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with USA Area Manager & (Amman) Sales, Marketing, and Revenue Management teams to align on pricing, distribution, and performance initiatives.
- Work closely with Airport Services, Finance, and Customer Relations teams to ensure consistent delivery of RJ's service and brand standards.
- Provide market insights, competitor intelligence, and sales forecasts to support management decision-making.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum 7–10 years of airline or travel industry experience, including at least 3 years in a sales management or supervisory role.
- Proven track record of delivering revenue growth and managing high-value commercial accounts.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. travel market dynamics, airline distribution channels, and GDS systems.
- Strong network within the travel trade and corporate travel sectors across the U.S.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
