Armed Security Officer - Distribution Facility

We're hiring reliable, experienced, Armed Security Officers The persons in this position will maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and co-workers by patrolling, monitoring premises, and performing search procedures.

Hourly starting wage: $30.00/hr (weekly pay)

Responsibilities:

  • Remain alert, avoid distractions, and observe all activity around the post
  • Patrol a designated area on foot or in a vehicle
  • Enforce company and client policies
  • Observe, report, and document violations of policy by notifying the Shift Lieutenant or Control Dispatch
  • Respond to incidents in a quick manner
  • Protect everyone and everything within the limits and duties of the post
  • One will only use reasonable force, up to and including lethal force, when necessary to protect life
  • Observe, report, and prevent incidents by providing a physical presence
  • Officers will remain on the post and wait until they have proper relief
  • Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Monitor for irregular or unusual activity
  • Secure facility and designated areas
  • Investigate and prepare reports on incidents

Qualifications:

  • Must have 10+ years of Law Enforcement/Military Police or Dept. of Corrections background.
  • Must have your own 9mm Weapon
  • Must have excellent written and communication skills
  • Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must at least 21 years of age
  • Armed Security License

Additional Requirements:

Armed Security Officers must pass the following requirements and comply with Prosegur, client, and State Law Rules and Regulations:

  • State Mandated - Unrestricted License to Carry Pistol
  • State Armed Security Guard License
  • Law Enforcement and/or Military background preferred
  • Armed Security Officer Training Requalification (if applicable)

Other Compensation:

For this position, there will be an additional compensation at the rate of $5.55/hr up to 40 hours worked per week as a supplement for Health and Welfare.
