Boone Memorial Health is seeking a reliable and motivated Environmental Services Technician (EVS Tech) to join our team full-time. Who We Are

Boone Memorial Health (BMH) is a growing, rural Critical Access Health System located in Madison, West Virginia. At the core of our system is a 25-bed inpatient hospital with a 24/7 Emergency Department, designated as a Level IV Trauma Center. We also operate a network of outpatient clinics and specialty services throughout Boone County and beyond. Our Environmental Services team ensures that every patient, staff member, and visitor experiences a safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous housekeeping, custodial, or healthcare cleaning experience is helpful but not required

  • Ability to follow cleaning protocols and infection control standards

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills

  • Reliability and commitment to patient safety


Key Responsibilities

  • Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas according to hospital standards

  • Maintain a safe environment by following infection prevention and control protocols

  • Handle cleaning equipment, supplies, and chemicals properly and safely

  • Remove trash, biohazard waste, and soiled linens as directed

  • Restock supplies in patient care and staff areas

  • Respond to cleaning requests promptly and with a positive attitude

  • Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned
