Job Summary:

A Senior Level Fire Sprinkler Systems Technician will be responsible for the installation, testing, inspection, maintaining and repair of all types of fire sprinkler systems to include Wet, Dry, Pre-Action, Deluge, and Foam Systems without direct supervision. Other duties would include the repair, replacement and testing of Fire Pumps, Jockey Pumps and Backflow equipment without direct supervision.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Picking and sorting of pipe, fittings and hardware associated with the scope of work.

  2. Cleaning and prepping sprinkler pipe, hauling pipe, fittings and hardware to installation location.

  3. Load and/or unloading trucks manually or with motorized lifts.

  4. Measure, cut and groove/thread sprinkler pipe to specifications.

  5. Cutting and drilling penetrations through walls and floors for pipe.

  6. Inspect tools, cords, and ladder/lifts as needed per Field Supervisors direction.

  7. Assist with inventory of construction materials on job sites and office/shop areas.

  8. Maintain a clean job site that could include sweeping, picking up loose materials, cleaning and organizing the work area and equipment.

  9. Read Blueprints for job site installation.

  10. Climbing ladders to assist with installation of sprinkler pipe.

  11. Compliance with any stipulations set by the General Contractor enabling onsite installation.

  12. Inspection and testing per NFPA 25.

  13. Preform troubleshooting and service calls as required.

Job Qualifications:

Required:

· High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED).

· Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools, climbing ladders, working on aerial lifts and cutting/grooving pipe.

· Ten years of technical training or relevant experience.

· Strong verbal communication skills for clear and effective customer interactions.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to shoulder height.

· Valid driver's license.

· Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Optional:

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

· NICET Level 2 Certification.
