The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

Salary Range$99, $163, Target Openings What Is the Opportunity?The Director, Data Center/Critical Facilities Operations will provide operational & strategic oversight to the critical facilities (CF) management team by establishing and maintaining the CF management policy, processes, procedures, programs and protocols necessary to achieve 100% Uptime. This role includes all aspects of facilities management, project management and construction management at the company's lan centers, data centers and VDC rooms. This position is based full time in our Norcross, GA, office.What Will You Do?
  • Manage internal and external CF teams
  • Plans, schedules, and coordinates CF construction.
  • Consults on management of technology equipment space with Technology colleagues.
  • Ensures all project management requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Ensures job is completed in conformance to specifications and that CF equipment is fully operational.
  • Makes appropriate decisions on any unforeseen issues.
  • Develops and manages budget for purchase/lease and maintenance of CF equipment.
  • Prepares cost estimates.
  • Negotiates expenditures and completion/delivery dates for design work, CF equipment requests, and environmental activities.
  • Obtains necessary approvals.
  • Works with Corporate Real Estate (CRE) on the analysis of project expenses. Prepares budget projections for management approvals. Monitors construction activities against budget.
  • Acts as liaison with CRE, Technology, Data and Telecommunications, Systems, and outside vendors.
  • Develops and recommends changes to incorporate new technology.
  • Implements changes consistent with budget. Guarantees the most efficient use of resources.
  • Assures high quality service that meets customer satisfaction.
  • Initiates corrective action in response to customer needs.
  • Reports and elevates special concerns to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
  • 8+ years' experience in critical facility management with at least 5 years at the mid- to upper-level in that discipline preferred.
  • Industrial/commercial experience running large electrical projects
  • Previous management experience
  • Ability to take initiative and deliver results with limited supervision
  • Advanced knowledge of CF equipment features, and capabilities preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of interpretation of blueprints and design schematics. Strong organizational and project management skills preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle/resolve difficult CF technical issues.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Solid communications skills preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office applications preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles of good maintenance management required.
  • Advanced ability to interpret and understand complex design and construction documents relating to critical sites, spaces and systems preferred.
  • Advanced ability to successfully present technical information to upper management preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of mathematics and the principles of physics and chemistry as they relate to facilities management and engineering operations preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports preferred.
  • Advanced ability to deal with various abstract and concrete variables simultaneously preferred.
  • Prior experience as a Facility Manager over multiple critical facilities
What is a Must Have?
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical field or Master/Journeyman or HVAC License.
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in the power quality industry required.
