We are hiring a talented and dependable Home Maintenance Technician to serve as the primary caretaker of our homes across the market. As a Market Maintenance Specialist, you will ensure our properties are well-maintained, safe, and guest-ready at all times. This role requires a true Jack-of-All-Trades who thrives on problem-solving, works well independently, and takes pride in keeping homes in exceptional condition.

You will perform routine preventive maintenance, handle day-to-day repairs, respond to emergency issues, and coordinate with third-party vendors when specialized work is required. If you're resourceful, hands-on, and passionate about fixing what's broken, improving what's working, and preventing what could go wrong—this is the perfect fit.

Key ResponsibilitiesExterior Maintenance

• Install digital locks, change lock codes, and set up lock boxes
• Install interior/exterior handrails
• Repair decks, railings, and exterior siding
• Reseal/paint decks and siding
• Perform basic fence repairs (wood and chain-link)
• Clean gutters and handle basic landscaping (mulching, tree trimming, French drains)
• Install basic security systems (Ring doorbells, exterior cameras)

Interior Maintenance

• Install smart thermostats and troubleshoot basic HVAC issues
• Install window A/C units, portable heaters, and detectors (smoke & CO2)
• Repair towel racks, hang art, and install curtain rods
• Patch drywall and perform interior painting
• Replace broken windows
• Replace light bulbs, install switches, and perform basic electrical work
• Assist with pest control
• Replace carpet and install LVP flooring
• Install/troubleshoot appliances: washer/dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, microwave

Plumbing Tasks

• Unclog drains and toilets
• Repair leaking sinks, faucets, and toilets
• Replace toilet wax rings and internal components
• Perform basic plumbing troubleshooting and repairs

General Duties

• Lift and move items up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Use technology for communication, ticketing, time tracking, and documentation
• Maintain accurate logs of work completed and materials used
• Travel to nearby markets when required

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven ability to build, implement, and track preventive maintenance programs
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation
• Ability to source, supervise, and coordinate third-party vendors
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, especially under pressure
• Ability to work with urgency while staying calm and professional
• Self-starter who takes initiative and recognizes tasks before being asked
• Comfortable working across multiple properties in a single day
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); Spanish fluency is a major plus
• Valid U.S. Driver's License and reliable transportation
• Experience across multiple trades (construction, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry) is highly valued

Schedule Expectations

This is a 24/7/365 hospitality business. As the lead maintenance point of contact for this market, you will occasionally need to respond to emergency calls on nights, weekends, and holidays.
