What We're Looking For

We are seeking an experienced Revit/BIM Consultant to work on‑site at our Port Charlotte office. Your role will be to evaluate how our Structural and MEP teams are currently using Revit, identify workflow gaps, and provide hands‑on training to build long‑term BIM excellence within our organization.

This short‑term engagement will help our team "learn what we don't know" and develop scalable, efficient workflows in Revit and BIM.

Responsibilities

The consultant will help us:

  • Evaluate current Revit usage, templates, family libraries, and model management practices.
  • Assess our overall BIM workflows, project setup structures, naming conventions, and file management standards (aligned with industry best practices).
  • Identify training gaps and provide structured learning for Revit MEP/Structural modeling, collaboration, and project coordination.
  • Recommend improvements for creating a scalable, consistent internal BIM environment, including templates, shared parameters, worksets, schedules, and model maintenance workflows.
  • Ensure our team understands how to work more effectively in a shared BIM environment to reduce clashes, improve coordination, and optimize model intelligence.
  • Offer continued guidance, tips, and best practices tailored to our project types and internal processes.

What You Bring

  • Extensive hands‑on experience with Revit for Structural and/or MEP engineering.
  • Strong background in BIM Management, including setting up standards, templates, families, and workflows.
  • Ability to evaluate existing processes and create an improvement roadmap.
  • Prior experience training engineers, designers, or drafters in Revit/BIM.
  • Understanding of multidisciplinary coordination and clash detection workflows.
  • Experience as a BIM Consultant or similar external advisory role is a strong plus. (BIM consultants specialize in assessing workflows, implementing BIM methodology, and guiding companies through process improvements.)

Schedule & Compensation

  • 4 hours per week (on‑site) for 8–10 weeks.
  • Contract engagement; compensation based on experience.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: From $150.00 per hour
