Metro Drugs is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist in Charge to lead our Fertility Specialty pharmacy team. . This role is critical in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical care to our patients. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of pharmacy operations, and a commitment to patient service. As the Pharmacist in Charge, you will oversee all pharmacy activities, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily pharmacy operations and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements of USP 797 and USP 800.
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining stock of medications.
  • Oversee the dispensing of medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety standards.
  • Provide patient care services, including medication administration and counseling.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop acute care plans for patients.
  • Conduct training and mentorship for pharmacy staff, promoting professional development.
  • Implement systems to improve workflow efficiency and enhance patient service.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all pharmacy activities.

Experience

  • Leadership expierence a must.
  • BS or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Proven experience in inventory management and pharmacy operations.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and service.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team environment.
