Disel Mechanic

Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic who can perform preventative maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on all types of diesel-powered equipment. This is a critical hands-on role that requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. You will be responsible for ensuring our fleet operates at peak performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnostics & Repair: Perform accurate diagnosis and repair of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, air brakes, transmissions, and other major components on medium and heavy-duty trucks and specialized tree care equipment (e.g., Bandit chippers, stump grinders).
• Preventative Maintenance: Execute routine maintenance schedules, including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and detailed inspections, to maximize equipment lifespan and minimize downtime.
• Documentation: Accurately document all repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed using our digital tracking systems.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance and repairs comply with DOT regulations and internal safety standards.
• Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining an organized parts inventory and communicate supply needs to the management team.
• Field Support: Occasionally travel to job sites in the local Knoxville area to perform emergency roadside repairs as needed.
