As a Consumer Loan Underwriter, you will:
- Review and make decisions in compliance with policies and other designed loans and reviews each for accuracy.
- Manage the Indirect application queue while assisting with the direct side underwriter queue as needed.
- Onboard and partner with new dealerships.
- Manage existing dealers and indirect portfolio in order to maintain program profitability.
- Be responsible for functions of the Indirect Lending program, including transmitting, receiving, closing, and funding loans.
- Train and mentor staff as it pertains to indirect lending.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities and cross-sells services to members.
- Assist and support with various projects.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a college degree (preferred)
- Has previous Loan underwriting experience (required)
- Is able to learn and use the Credit Union's core data processing system for input/output transactions
- Easily learns new concepts and computer software programs
- Has integrity, a team spirit, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
- Can work flexible shifts during the week and occasional Saturdays
