Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Administrator
with strong expertise in
disaster recovery planning, implementation, and management
. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing GCP infrastructure while ensuring business continuity through effective disaster recovery and backup strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage GCP environments including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, VPC, Cloud SQL, and Kubernetes Engine.
  • Design, implement, and maintain
    disaster recovery (DR)
    and
    business continuity
    solutions in GCP.
  • Develop and execute
    backup and recovery procedures
    , ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity using GCP monitoring tools (e.g., Cloud Monitoring, Logging, and Operations Suite).
  • Implement and maintain
    high availability (HA)
    and
    failover configurations
    .
  • Manage GCP resources, permissions, and security policies in alignment with organizational standards.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and Security teams to ensure compliance with governance and security policies.
  • Automate administrative tasks using
    Terraform, Ansible, or Deployment Manager
    .
  • Maintain documentation for architecture, configurations, and DR plans.
  • Conduct periodic DR drills and report outcomes for continual improvement.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 4–7 years of experience in cloud administration, with at least 2 years in
    Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
    .
  • Proven experience with
    disaster recovery planning, testing, and implementation
    in cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of
    GCP networking, IAM, and storage services
    .
  • Experience with
    GCP Backup & Restore
    ,
    Cloud DNS
    ,
    Load Balancing
    , and
    Monitoring tools
    .
  • Hands-on experience with
    Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
    using
    Terraform
    or
    Deployment Manager
    .
  • Scripting skills in
    Python, Shell, or PowerShell
    for automation.
  • Familiarity with
    CI/CD pipelines
    and integration tools.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
