Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a talented Environmental Remediation Project Manager, with both internal and external responsibilities in Texas. Join us and make a positive impact in your community while working on rewarding projects.

As part of this hybrid (office and remote) role, you will work directly with multiple Remediation Consulting department managers to achieve strategic objectives on major accounts. This role has both internal and external-facing responsibilities, with opportunity to apply and further develop managerial and client development skills. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to apply your expertise in both technical project roles and project management roles.

Responsibilities for this position may also include:

  • Oversees the preparation of work plans and organizes project studies

  • Interfacing directly with technical project manager and project team to deliver projects on scope, schedule, and budget.

  • Understand and incorporate client requirements in management of projects including commercial contract terms, change management process, financial performance KPIs, etc.

  • Use client and AECOM prescribed tools to track and manage financial aspects of the projects

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and meet budgetary objectives, while adjusting project constraints based on financial analysis

  • Strong local TCEQ and/or Gulf Coast state regulatory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4 years of relevant environmental remediation experience and/or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education

  • US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.

  • This role is subject to a background check and Motor vehicle records check

Preferred Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in site investigation and remediation.

  • 5+ years of project management experience

  • Professional certification preferred (e.g., Prof. Eng./Geologist, Chartered Eng./Geologist, PMP, etc.).

  • Superior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiences.

  • Experience successfully managing environmental projects for various types of clients.

  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication, both verbal and written skills.

  • Experience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on time and on budget project delivery.

  • Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders.
